Speculations About an Audi Electric Vehicle

Many car manufacturers currently have electric models in their Showroom.  That being said, there are rumors abound that Audi is looking at jumping on that trend.  Since electric vehicles are the most popular in urban areas, where it's easier to recharge your vehicle, Audi is apparently working an electric urban car concept.

And fans of Audi and electric vehicles may not have to wait very long for this car to be introduced into the Audi lineup.  There are reports that the luxury German car manufacturer will launch it electric vehicle in September at the Frankfurt Motor Show. The new vehicle is expected to keep its signature styling such as the trademark grille and chrome accents.  However, the electric platform will be similar to Audi's sibling brands.

You may wonder about the vehicle's power.  There are some speculations that the car will be able to attain 90 miles per hour, with a 115 horsepower motor expected to output 199 pound-feet of torque.  The lithium-ion battery pack may be located under the vehicle's floor, and have a 125-mile range.

Of course, none of the details about this new electric vehicle have been confirmed by Audi. We are keeping an eye on more information about this vehicle and will be sure to post them on theYBH Audi blog, so follow us today. We also invite you to stop in to our Newton Square, PA showroom, where we'd be happy to give you information on any vehicle in our lineup.
