Three 2015 Audi A3 models bow in LA

In case you haven't heard, the 2013 Los Angeles Auto Show is currently in full swing and will continue to be until the end of the month. If you're wondering why we here at YBH Audi are kicking ourselves for not attending this year, well, it's not every day that your favorite automaker unveils a whole new lineup of vehicles.

First up, there's the 2015 Audi A3 Cabriolet: a drop-top convertible that was born to turn heads. If the name isn't ringing any bells, that's likely because the nameplate has been exclusive to Europe for the last five years.

In addition to the Cabriolet, the 2015 Audi A3 Sedan was also present on the stage. From what we've heard, it will be offered with four engines, the first two being a 2.0-liter turbodiesel I-4 that gets up to 150 horsepower and a 1.8-liter turbo-four that dishes out 170 horsepower. Both will be paired to six-speed automatic transmissions.

Not to be outdone, the curtain was also pulled back on the 2015 Audi A3 e-tron plug-in hybrid: a hatchback that ought to be as powerful as it is fuel-efficient. As for why Audi went with three big debuts rather than one, we'll let them do the explaining on that one.

"We aren't just bringing one new car to the market, we're launching an entire new family of cars that will add to our momentum in the US marketplace," says Scott Keogh, President of Audi of America. "This A3 line-up redefines the standards of the entry premium market in terms of technology, craftsmanship and performance."1

So if you'd like to learn more about everything the A3 lineup will have to offer before it (hopefully) makes its way to the States, the experts in our car parts department would be happy to fill you in at our dealership here in Edgemont, PA. We've only scratched the surface.
